Denyse is a dedicated Canadian artist whose oil and acrylic paintings capture the vibrant essence of the nation’s landscapes and wildlife. Her impressionist style, marked by a lively palette and dynamic brushwork, creates visually rich interpretations of natural beauty.

Inspired by childhood memories of playing in Burlington’s forests and camping in Northern and Eastern Ontario, Denyse’s passion for the outdoors is evident in every piece she creates. Now living and working on a small lake in Ontario’s Rideau Lakes area, she continues to draw inspiration from the surrounding nature and wildlife.

After a 30-year career teaching art and other subjects, Denyse has devoted herself fully to painting, blending her extensive art education background with self-guided education. As an artist who has honed her skills through independent learning, she has continually refined her craft through coursework at the Ottawa School of Art and artist-led workshops, ensuring her work remains fresh and innovative.

Denyse is proudly represented by Rothwell Gallery in Ottawa, and her work has gained recognition for its emotive portrayal of Canadian landscapes and wildlife. Her paintings have been featured in numerous exhibitions and art fairs across Ontario, solidifying her place within the province's vibrant art community.
